Current Need

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and talented FP&A organization as a Financial Analyst within the Corporate FP&A group. This individual will support the Director of Corp FP&A and partner with cross-functional business partners, senior finance and executive leadership on corporate financial analytics and planning/reporting activities related to McKesson’s Corporate functions. A successful candidate will challenge the status quo to drive insights & continuous improvement, be data & results oriented, have solid communication and interpersonal skills and a high degree of comfort in financial analysis.

Position Description

  • Support the monthly forecast cycle: track and analyze department submissions and variances, changes in business drivers, and other business activity affecting the financials. Ensure data submissions are complete within financial systems.

  • Analyze and perform root cause analyses to understand reasons for variances. Report findings and recommendations for remediation to Corporate FP&A leadership, with a focus on continuous process improvement.

  • Participate in annual budgeting and long-range planning cycles: track and document variances and changes during each iteration of the process, retrieve data and provide accurate reporting. Perform root cause analysis to understand reasons for variances and report findings and recommendations to Corporate FP&A leadership.

  • Provide support for department activities and executive management reporting deliverables. Support the development of dashboard reporting requirements, analyze large data sets and create presentations that summarize the data and enable action.

  • Ad hoc projects, e.g. develop standardized templates and reporting packages, identify process improvement potential, communicate across various cross-functional teams, and investigate finance system enhancement opportunities.

4 years of related work experience.

  • Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information for department leadership

  • Financial Reporting: Ability to drive and manage the reporting integrity of financial reporting given large data sets

  • Action Oriented: Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action

  • Planning and Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and other web based applications

  • Good communicator (both verbally and in print form)

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning or HFM a plus

  • Positive attitude

4-year undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics and or another analytical field strongly preferred
