We are currenting seeking a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer to join our team. McKesson has embarked on an important mission to become the leader in cybersecurity for global healthcare. We are making significant investments to enhance our capabilities through talent development, resource levels, process maturity, and technology enablement.
As Senior Engineer, Endpoint Security, you will be a key component of our team. This position will be responsible for delivering highly available and scalable endpoint security infrastructure for a very large enterprise. The ideal candidate has deep technical security knowledge/expertise, systems management and administration experience, and proven service management skills
Success requires a candidate with strong technical security knowledge/expertise along with proven service management skills.
This position will be responsible for delivering world-class security systems and tools management related to the Endpoint Security space. The role will work with other engineers and business units to help spec, build, administer/configure, and maintain critical preventive and detective security infrastructure related to McKesson’s endpoints, with an initial focus on Tanium.
Example responsibilities include:
Endpoint Security Technology Engineering - Design, implement, and configure endpoint protection tools for threat detection and prevention in a large distributed environment
Endpoint Security Technology Subject Matter Expertise (SME) – Provide subject matter expertise services for other team members and users in the security operations center (SOC)
Collaboration and Reporting –
Routinely collaborate with other stakeholders across the enterprise including security architecture, identity and access management, active defense team, application security, and security software engineering to defend our enterprise.
Liaise with Business Information Security Officers (BISOs) for Endpoint cybersecurity and IT Risk & Compliance Management program needs within business units.
6 years’ experience in administering security controls in an organization
Background in cybersecurity services, security engineering, other IT, and/or technical risk management
Experience implementing and engineering an endpoint management or endpoint protection application is required
Knowledge of project management tasks, experience creating application documentation, and demonstrated ability to train other team members.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to build/ maintain ongoing business relationships
Ability to exercise and mentor others on good professional judgment and security-related ethics
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Tanium experience is a plus
SentinelOne or another next generation endpoint protection technology is a plus
Knowledge of the healthcare, distribution, or software industries is a plus
Experience working in a large, distributed organization is a plus
OSCP, SANS/GIAC, CISSP or other similar professional certifications are a plus
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
