Current Need

Reporting to the Senior Director – Source 2 Pay at McKesson, the Source 2 Pay Process/Technical Lead within the Sourcing and Procurement, Systems and Tools team will successfully drive process improvement and capability development efforts related to the Source-to-Pay workstream across Sourcing and Procurement globally. This individual should be skilled at leading by example in the delivery of high impact projects.

Role Responsibilities

The S2P Process Lead will be responsible for requirement specification, alternatives identification, evaluation/selection, planning/coordination, deployment/integration/implementation and maintenance of procurement technology & supporting tools to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of best practice procurement processes.

  • Define and implements best-in-class process design and reengineering initiatives for the Sourcing and Procurement organization

  • Lead the global Source-to-Pay business process redesign and technology rollout for Sourcing and Procurement

  • Lead Integrated Test Cycles and User Acceptance testing for implemented tools

  • Develop relationships and partner with other Sourcing and Procurement functional areas as well as Business Unit stakeholders to drive maximum business value and customer satisfaction

  • Provide Business Requirement Document and BI reporting guidance to IT technical developers

  • Ensure appropriate tables are maintained in the ERP system(s) and Source to Pay systems

  • Define future process and policy and the interdependencies with our sourcing tools

  • Run the systems day-to-day and ensure appropriate coverage over holidays

  • Roll out Ariba functionality globally (Contracts/ E Sourcing/ Etc.)

  • Ensure alignment with day to day operations and Category Management

  • Lead business process reviews as well as process reengineering initiatives

  • Participate and potentially lead technology strategy decisions for Sourcing and Procurement

  • Manage a team of system administrators and periodically review team capacity and make staffing recommendations

  • Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities

  • Ensure that policies and procedures align with corporate vision

  • Over time become the global systems owner for Ariba and potentially the Vendor Management Solution

  • Engage in process mapping and documentation (e.g., process mapping current and future state, executing support documentation such as SOPs, Policies & Procedures, Job Aides, Quick Start Guides, and Playbooks; gathering current state process detail from stakeholders; defining future state process detail with stakeholders; writing support documentation)

Minimum Requirements

6 years of Supply Chain and System Configuration experience

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • System configuration Ariba and VMS solutions

  • 6 years of Supply Chain/ Negotiations and Contracts / performance improvement experience

  • Experience leading or managing small teams

  • Experience in developing project plans and presenting business cases to Senior Leaders

  • Proven ability to speak with and work across all levels of the business

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Intermediate Word, Access

Desired Skills

  • Implemented Ariba and VMS solutions in the past, Experience configuring tables and workflow management

  • Experience in project management, organizational change, and/or process improvement with leading companies

  • Experience in business and system analysis and design utilizing proven techniques

  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to research and make efficient use of resources to achieve effective business results

  • Understanding of major supply chain processes, supplier and customer interface

  • Strong financial and business acumen

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously in a timely and professional manner; ability to transfer lessons learned into new processes

Education

  • 4-year degree in related field, preferably in a business or technical discipline

Certifications/Licensure

  • Six Sigma certification a plus

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25% may be required, depending on the project. Travel frequency may be higher during project ramp-up and implementation phases as needed
