Current Need

The Network Technician will be responsible for monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of all data communications network equipment.

Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting communications hardware, circuits and other connectivity for Pharmacy Solution's customers. The Technician needs to have some knowledge of ACLs, routing protocols, Cisco IOS/NX-OS command set, VPN tunnels, and router and switch configurations. Provides first level troubleshooting for Cisco routers and switches, and demonstrates basic knowledge of networking topologies. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Ability to receive and act on general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.

Note: This position is part of a team providing 24x7x365 coverage, including holidays, and thus requires flexibility. This shift’s hours will fluctuate during training and then be determined based on the business needs at the time.


1 years network systems experience or equivalent training and knowledge

Critical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of ACLs,routing protocols, Cisco router command set, VPN tunnels, router configurations,and switch configurations

  • Provide first level troubleshootingfor Cisco routers, switches, and connectivity

  • Demonstrates basic knowledgeof networking topics such as: routing, switching, WAN

  • Understanding TCP/IP protocolsuite; TCP/IP working knowledge. OSI model

  • Hardware - Cisco routers andswitches

  • Trouble shooting skills, ableto work with providers for circuit issues

  • Ability to work independently

  • MPLS experience

  • Real time environmentexperience

  • Customer Service Focus

  • Handle stressful situationswith calm and professionalism


CCNA and CCENT training or certification a plus


2-year degree or equivalent experience
