As an Operations Manager on our team, you’ll be helping to keep our distribution center operating smoothly. From training to problem solving to maintaining equipment, your work will help save lives. The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational activities of a variety of functional departments within the distribution center on the day shift.
Plans, organizes, anddirects warehouse and selected office functions to ensure orderfulfillment with 100% customer satisfaction.
Development ofsupervisory team
Leads warehouse employeesand supervisors
Maintain a positivemorale, work standards and developing teams
Trains and managesperformance of supervisors and other direct reports.
Assertively seekssolutions at the root level of problems.
Builds teamwork among DCmanagement team, sales team, and employees.
Ensures warehouseoperations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
Ensures warehouse andequipment are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company and FDAstandards.
Assist team withplanning, organizing and directing warehouse activities to ensuresuccessful day shift operations.
Effectively lead workersand Lead persons.
Reducing employeeturnover/overtime working hours
- 7 years operational experience including 4 years managerial experience
Experience managing,leading and developing supervisors; this is a hands on manager role withmost time being spent on the floor
Management skills – coaching and development of supervisors
Demonstrated employeeengagement skills
Strong communications skills – open, honest verbal andwritten communications; ability to communicate and collaborate effectivelyat all levels and across all functional areas
Computer proficiency inMS Office
Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
Adept at strategic thinking and strategic businessplanning
A Bachelor’s degree andexperience in operations, distribution or supply chain management.
Must be open to flexible dayhours, Monday through Friday, with a typical start time of 8AM; must alsobe open to overtime as needed and adjusting shift based on businessrequirements

Adept at interpreting and analyzing data
Six Sigma training or experience
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience
High energy distribution center environment
May be required to work various shifts, includingnights and days
