Job duties:

  • Filling, checking and dispensing medications accurately

  • Provider supervision and oversight for pharmacy caseworkers and technicians

  • Provide all appropriate pharmacist services, including patient counseling and follow up for dispensed prescriptions as required

  • Ensure prescriptions are properly priced and payment methods are clear

  • Ensure prescriptions are delivered to appropriate site as per patient requests for clinic appointments

  • Maintains inventory and other records such as inventory, prescriptions, and quality assurance

  • Providing general customer service for clients and stakeholders (ie Patients, Health Care Professionals, Industry Partners, etc)

  • Provide medical information as required to patients and other health care professionals

  • Adherence to all relevant guidelines including the established Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements

  • Collect and review Adverse Events (AE) and Product Quality Complaints (PQC)

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Profile (Education & Experience)

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree

  • A valid license to practice pharmacy with the BC College of Pharmacists

  • Full-Time employment for at least one year in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting

  • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset

  • Additional experience in clinical trials, medication reimbursement, or a regulatory environment is useful

  • Working knowledge of retail pharmacy practice and understanding biologics and specialty medications

  • This position requires a significant degree of self-direction and independence
