Manager, Practice Engagement Specialist (Inside Sales)

Position Description

The Manager, Practice Engagement Specialists (MPES) is a corporate-based sales and communication professional responsible for direct management and development of the Practice Engagement Specialist team, an inside-sales group focused on telephonically contacting oncology providers to educate them on Biologics’ pharmacy services and facilitate introductions to our field-based regional practice liaisons. The MPES operates in a player-coach environment and is responsible for increasing prescriber pull-through and maximizing revenue generation by successful guidance of the sales staff.

He/she exhibits a high degree of energy and commitment to customer service; internally, by being a positive, action-focused, solution-oriented and effective team member; externally, by providing outstanding service and high touch care to the company’s many pharmacy clients. He/she possesses the ability to establish relationships quickly over the telephone and in-person, by utilizing superior communication and sales skills.

The MPES will have a hunger to learn and the ability to share knowledge with clients in an organized and confident way. This person will be driven to provide outstanding customer service to clients and quick to develop organizational tools and resources to elevate delivery of his/her main responsibilities.

Finally, the ideal candidate will be undaunted by the challenges of sales in a busy and fragmented healthcare environment. He/she will be buoyed in this important role by the unflagging belief that, ultimately, we are not “selling” something to a prescriber – we are offering to be an extension of their clinical team to help their patients access, afford and manage oral therapies.

Minimum Requirements

8 years sales administration experience and demonstrated leadership skills

Critical Skills

Proven success in supporting sales strategy development, especially for new oral drug or disease state launches

Experience with lead generation, segmentation, and targeting

A successful track record of working with managers and executives at high levels in the organization, as well as end-users

Proven ability to prioritize a pipeline of opportunities and convert them into a successful strategy for gaining new business on a regular schedule

Strong strategic thinking/planning and market assessment skills

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with CRM software

Strong interpersonal, communication skills and coaching skills

Excellent presentation and relationship skills

Experience with sales funnel management financial forecasting

Ability to understand financial statements and complex business models

Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused.

Proven track record of problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills, business analysis experience (including implementation, tracking, problem resolution and reporting)

Ability to travel occasionally, approximately 15% of the working month

Working environment includes professional office, as well as multiple prescriber office sites, cancer centers, hospitals and professional/social events in the evening and weekends as needed

Education

4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
