Position Description

Completes assigned project-focused opportunity in a specific business unit or function, working directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor. McKesson’s Intern program provides you with an opportunity to experience the healthcare industry first-hand. By applying your education to a real-life working environment, you will receive a solid foundation of experience as a McKesson intern. Through project-based work across key business initiatives, as well as hands-on experience, you will be exposed to many aspects of the business and draw upon your varied skill set. Further, by working in tandem with others, you will build a network of support to help you develop professionally.

Intern Program Details

  • Paid Internship

  • Full-time work for 10 weeks

  • Position will reside in Las Colinas, TX

  • No company sponsored housing, relocation, student visa or Green Card assistance available

  • Each intern is assigned a project-focused opportunity in a specific business unit and works directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing industry!

  • The internship program also provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching and fun, local activities!

Current Need

We are seeking a summer intern to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team for a total of ten weeks. As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to join our core FP&A team, supporting the team’s decision-making process as we drive toward meeting or exceeding our enterprise financial targets. In addition, this position will also support our Competitive Intelligence team, contributing to the analysis of our industry and peers. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with compiling operating profit details and metrics

  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all data sets

  • Performing detailed analysis of data relationships required for metric development, including business segment analysis

  • Identifying data outliers and inconsistencies to increase data quality and generate process improvements

  • Compiling business segment comparisons across our industry

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program for the duration of the internship to be eligible

  • 3.0 minimum GPA

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program and scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2019 or sooner.

Critical Skills

  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear concise reports

  • Able to collaborate across a large set of stakeholders

  • Creative and innovative thinker

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
