Reports to and assists Facilities Manager with overall accountability and responsibility for the physical plant operations of a highly automated pharmaceutical distribution center which operates 24/7/365.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Maintenance,training and oversight of current/cutting edge industrial automation/machineryto include, sorters, conveyors, warehouse management systems and materialhandling equipment.
Responsibilityfor facility equipment audits and record retention policies.
Oversightand responsibility for all safety and security protocols to include workingwith on-site senior management to ensure strict adherence to same. Theseinclude, but are not limited to: OSHA, FDA, DOT, Fire Detection, DEA andPDMA monitoring/compliance.
Maintainand support security systems including state of the art intrusion detection,access system and camera systems.
Responsiblefor all management of building cleanliness and maintenance both internal andexternal.
Oversightand management of facilities projects. Project management will often requireworking closely with vendors to gather estimates and adhere to budget forecasts.
Managementof both the maintenance and janitorial staff.
Engagementwith risk management insurance and property management companies.
Development,oversight and accountability for a yearly MRO supply budget and associatedinventories.
Tacticaloperation planning, human resource planning and associated allocations.
Contractorengagement including oversight and management of all contracts for facilityservices.
Managementand maintenance of electric forklifts, man-lifts, scrubbers and sweepers includingsafety programs.
- 2 years facilities engineering experience and demonstrated leadership skills
3years of experience as a facilities lead
Detailedworking/troubleshooting knowledge of PLC logic and warehouse control systems.From relay logic to microprocessor based controls.
Provenability to read and comprehend complex electrical, mechanical and automationsystem prints quickly and have the ability to convey information to facilitiesteam under high pressure situations.
Workingknowledge of all "trade" categories, including, but not limited toElectrical, Mechanical, Temperature controls systems and HVAC. Typical systemknowledge require include power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear,AC/DC drives, PLC’s, UPS systems, air handling units and CRAC units.
Aptitudeto organize self as well as other team member activities.
Workingknowledge of or capacity to learn PC software such as Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CMMS (Maintenance Connection), WarehouseControl Systems and other automation software.
Mustbe open to flexible night schedule, Sunday through Thursday, with typical start time of 6:30PM; to include overtime, short notice call insand holidays
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Proven leadership/team buildingskills which adhere to McKesson’s ICARE (Integrity, Customer Centered,Accountability, Respect, Excellence) principals.
Capability to effectively negotiatewith and manage vendors
Associate’s degree, trade school certification, orother verifiable training in a relevant technical field.
- 4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience
General office demands as well asthe ability to meet demands of facilities work which includes lifting/carryitems up to 100 pounds and climbing ladders.
Ability to operate power equipmentincluding scissor lifts, boom lifts, man-lifts, reach trucks, tuggers,scrubbers and sweepers.
