Billing Specialists will be responsible for the timely and accurate billing of infusion drug and administration charges via paper, electronic or portal billing. Accurate and detailed review of PVR’s (Patient Visit Reports) submitted by the nursing staff to ensure proper coding of charges. Work claim rejections and re-bill reports. Enter new insurance carrier information for billing and run pre-processing reports on patient statements for review prior to being sent out. Qualified candidates must have exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer literacy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Under the direction of the Reimbursement Manager, candidates will be responsible for entering charge information timely and accurately to the patient’s accounts.

Complete all billing inqueue
Work claim rejections
Bill Medicaid portalclaims
Work the pending rebillreport
Work the reconciliationreport for billing errors
Filing secondary claims
Confirm all billingcomplete for month end
Maintain strictestconfidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
Other duties as assignedby management.
1 years billing or medical office experience
1 or more years of charge entry experience inhealthcare industry.
1 year knowledge of insurance benefits which includes, deductibles,co-insurance, out-of-pocket, plan exclusions and prior authorizationrequirements. Be proficient in CPT and ICD10 coding
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orallyand in writing.
Must demonstrate ability to work well in a team dynamicas well as independently.
Must demonstrate adaptability to handle changingpriorities in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
Must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills andensure attention to detail at all times.
Excellent personal computing skills and a workingknowledge of MS Office software.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Some knowledge of third party billing policies, practices and systems, as well as, spreadsheet applications.
HS Diploma or Equivalent
