Current Need

McKesson is seeking an Associate Replenishment Buyer to join their team in Las Colinas, TX.

Position Summary:

Associate Replenishment Buyers are responsible for the achieving optimal inventory for the assigned products/accounts and also manages any/all assigned external/external customer relationships. Associate Replenishment Buyers will also be required to problem solve, forecast, and analyze data to fulfill inventory needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inventory replenishment duties for designated accounts/distribution center(s) to include inventory management, adherence to McKesson’s SLA goals, and the management and analytics of forecasting trends (demand forecasting and lead time forecasting).

  • Establish, maintain, and expand regular communication with external customers (suppliers, vendors, etc.) and internal stakeholders (distribution center managers, purchasing team, etc.), ensuring quick response times and satisfactory problem resolution and developing strong customer partnerships to ensure the success of McKesson’s buying programs. (35%)

  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate in-stock position of inventory, ensuring that inventory is turned consistently to maximize sales while minimizing loss in shrink. (10%)

  • Collaborate with Purchasing Manager and Business Analysts to make recommendations on improvements to internal processes. (10%)

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. (10%)

Minimum Requirements

2 years purchasing experience

Critical Skills

  • 2 years of replenishment buyer experience (preferably within the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry) and basic understanding of demand forecasting and/or supply chain

  • Able to develop and maintain effective, positive internal/external working relationships with a diverse group of individuals; excellent relationship management skills.

  • Excellent negotiation abilities with strong math skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite, to include Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment; ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently. Able to execute without direct supervision

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Able to work well under pressure; strong sense of urgency.

  • Solid decision and resolution management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications.

  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills with exposure to process improvement and project management.

  • Readily able to learn and adapt to new computer applications, system upgrades and other technology as necessary.

  • Must be open to feedback and have the ability to be flexible and adaptable.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Supply Chain Management, Distribution or Operations) or combination of education and relevant work experience.
