Current Need

McKesson Corporation is seeking a Manager, Rotational Development Program to provide thought leadership, program operations and delivery support across the developmental programs aligned to the Finance, Human Resources, and several businesses in North America.

The McKesson RDPs focus on identifying graduate and experienced hires internal/external to the company and providing them with exposure to several business/functional experiences within the organization.

Position Description

The Manager, Rotational Development Programs reports to the VP, Talent Management and Diversity who supports talent management solutions across the McKesson enterprise. The Manager, Rotational Development Programs will be responsible to engage and influence decision making of senior leaders within the businesses and functions that serve on steering committees that sponsor and serve as host teams for the rotational employees. The Manger will be a coach and guide participants in the rotational programs and be a single point of continuity for these emerging leaders as they transition between assignments.

The ideal candidate will be able to articulate specific instances where they have delivered results through strong program management and organization skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to organize, evaluate and identify decisions/key actions using organizational data and information. A successful candidate will demonstrate consistent ability to balance the execution of on ongoing business critical projects while also taking on ad-hoc assignments as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • opportunities to optimize spend or deliver productivity back to the organization

  • Leads the employee development processes through data and analysis needs for talent management initiatives, including the talent review and planning processes

  • Leads the delivery of Leadership development programs/assessments to enable more efficient, scalable and cost-effective execution within the business unit/functions

  • Partners with internal and external training consultants and partners to procure and implement training offerings; based on direction of management. Manages processes and communications with stakeholders to ensure training meets/exceeds expectations

  • Enable effective talent management outcomes by providing actionable insights to decision makers using HR data, assessments and development resources

  • Produce periodic workforce dashboards for HR and BU executives to include: workforce analytics and planning initiatives, including HR Scorecard, HR Quarterly Report, Workforce Indicators, Diversity, and People Planning

  • Support data and HRIS system management needs in the organization’s HCM platform

  • Deliver Special projects as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years human resources or OD experience

Critical Skills

  • 5 years experience in the human resources/talent management discipline

  • Strong Program Management experience

  • 3 years leading and managing teams of 5 direct reports

  • Analytical mindset with an attention to detail and quality

  • Budget management and forecasting

  • Communication & message development

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work on project teams and leverage relationships in a matrix environment

Additional Knowledge & Preferred Skills

  • Business acumen and understanding of the organizations business model

  • Knowledge of contemporary HR structures, systems and processes

  • Experience working in large, complex organizations with matrix management

  • Training design and development

  • Development of evaluation and survey tools, with supervision

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma

  • Curiosity and continuous learner

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet critical deadlines

  • Data management and visualization skills/experience

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

  • Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Education

4-year degree in business, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience
