Current Need

As McKesson continues to make new acquisitions it is expected that the number of state income tax filings will continue to increase. In addition, recent tax reform at the federal level has added another layer of complexity to state tax compliance. Adequate resources are needed to be able to address these issues in a timely manner.

Position Description

Responsible for the preparation and completion of tax returns and reports involved with federal, state, local, property, sales and other tax returns. Responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Assists in tax audits. Completes other projects as established by Tax Manager.

Minimum Requirements

8 years accounting experience

Critical Skills

  • Demonstrate the ability to work in teamoriented environment as information may need to be obtained from othergroups within the tax department and other areas of the company.

  • Demonstrate the ability to workautonomously.

  • Perform other related duties asassigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting isrequired. MS in Taxation is preferred.

  • CPA certification preferred but notrequired.

  • 8 years of corporate tax experience inboth federal and state.

  • Advanced knowledge and skills of MSExcel and Word. CorpTax experience also preferred.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Have responsibility for all areas ofstate/franchise tax compliance matters for select McKesson entities asassigned.

  • Assist/Support Sr. Tax Manager invarious special projects focused on streamlining and making more efficientvarious state income tax compliance and tax administration processes.

  • Assist and support, as needed, in stateaudit defense.

  • May, on occasion, be asked to assist in mattersrelated to federal tax compliance and the preparation of federalproformas.

Education

4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
