The Sr. Finance Manager, Pharma FP&A will manage all aspects of the reporting and analytics for McKesson’s overall expenses ($1.4B annually). The Sr. FP&A Manager will be responsible for managing the reporting and analysis, annual budget, strategic plan and forecasting processes for the Pharma leaderships and Field Operating Review Committee (ORC). The Sr. FP&A Manager will lead the development and implementation of new analytics and reporting to support increased demands for financial support driven by expediential growth of a dynamic business. As key financial liaison, the Sr. FP&A Manager will partner with the PGORC members, PharmaRevenue/Gx FP&A, Field Finance teams in achieving excellent service to our internal and external customers. The role will manage two Senior Analysts.
Manage the overall US Pharma business unit expenses budget(approximately $1.4B)
Field / Distributions: Coordinate with regional finance directors during planning and forecast to ensure we are building appropriate distribution/delivery expenses
Pharma Leadership Organization Support: directly work with the SVP’s of the Pharma business to build the annual plan and manage their expenses throughout the year including Marketing, Distribution Operations, Legal, Finance & Accounting, Shared Services, Regulator Affairs, etc
Prepare monthly & quarterly executive analytics on monthly / qtrly / annual expense variances for Pharma CFO
Work with Corporate Accounting on Benefit allocations
Work with IT Organization in Corporate to understand key drivers of actual and Plan/forecast
Manage Capital Spend Strategy with SVP of Distribution Operations on a monthly basis and lead the annual planning process
Set annual capital spend strategies with SVP of Dist Ops
Manage quarterly capital project reviews with Pharma CFO & SVP of Dist Ops
Work with Pharma accounting on D&A implications from projects in flight
Review Capital Appropriation Requests for DC Networks
On-going partnership with Distribution Operations on DC capacity & productivity analytics
Support Pharma Leadership meeting preparations
Ad-Hoc analyses on investments, trade off analytics and AIC
5 years finance or accounting experience including 2 years managerial experience
Strong project management experience directly managing and leading a team
5 years experience and ability to analyze financial statements, forecasts, month end close, budgets, variance analysis, etc.
Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel (v-lookups, pivots, functions) and PowerPoint.
Ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership
Experience using an ERP software preferably SAP Business Warehouse
Understanding of GAAP principles
Prior experience influencing and presenting to senior leadership
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Knowledge & Skills
SQL and Access is a plus
Understanding of pharmaceutical industry, McKesson’s products and program offerings and distribution process is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively with groups from various depts and across multiple locations.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities to deliver results in a timely manner.
Ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet goals.
MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
