McKesson’s Business Unit – U.S. Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions Generics FP&A team is seeking a Sr. Manager of FP&A for the generics business. The Sr. Manger will be an individual contributor with high attention to detail and influence across the organization that can provide deep insights into key market segment performance and customers buying patterns. This position plays a critical role in supplying the sales results, forecast, budget, Long-Range Planning, design/publish sales dashboards, and lead cross-functional special projects. The Sr. Manager is a trusted business partner to the generics leadership team who can leverage resources across the organization to produce actionable insight for strategic decision making.
Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget.
Tracking and reporting of daily sales vs forecast, budget and prior period to empower business decisions
Monthly sales results and forecast including production of management reports, dashboards, and variance analysis to provide key insight on the customer and regional performance
Development of the annual budget and long-term sales plan
Develop/publish/ automate KPI dashboards to track financial performance of key market segments
Ability to generate business insight from large datasets
Ability to work in cross functional team, gain insights, and apply new concepts to enhance business process and improve forecast accuracy
Advanced analytical skill translating industry events such as industry (customer) consolidation, generics pricing mechanisms, product seasonality, and regulatory policies/environment into business insight
Ensure financial integrity of generics FP&A analytics environment and supporting financial reporting systems
Perform other duties as required
5 years finance or accounting experience including 2 years managerial experience
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Experience with monthly forecast consolidation and variance reporting and annual strategic (long-range) plan process
Intermediate to Advance MS Excel and PowerPointEffective business partnership with the ability to influence decision makers
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Ability to lead and balance multiple projects in various stages of completion
Working knowledge of SAP and BW COPA
MBA or CPA preferred in finance or related field.
