The Sr. Manager, Talent Development is responsible for identifying the knowledge, skills and abilities that the McKesson workforce must demonstrate through behaviors that support the business objectives associated with the McK2021 initiative and beyond.
Specifically, this role will partner with and leverage internal resources and vendors that will work across the McKesson enterprise (beginning within the HR, IT and Finance functions) to document role-specific functional, technical and leadership competencies and behaviors required for optimal performance.
The Sr. Manager, Talent Development will also ensure collaboration across COEs, BU HR, and the Shared Services groups to identify integration points and opportunities for successful delivery of the programs related to the learning and development strategy. This role will be expected to keep current on leading practices for designing learning and development programs, defining curriculums, managing the training operations, and measuring and monitoring the effective delivery of these programs.
Analyze : Identifying & validating the right problems to solve (needed KSA’s and Experiences).
Business goals analysis
Design : Creating flexible and innovative developmental processes, tools, delivery modes and tracking and measurement techniques that can be managed in the Workday platform.
Learning and Development Plans
Develop : Lead and manage resources (internal/external) in the creation or procurement of competency-based content that is linked to transformation initiatives, provides key learning experiences, and advances core capabilities.
Implement : Lead focused discussions that enable the organization to adopt consistent and scalable delivery modes that flex with changes in the business.
Train the trainer
Evaluate : Influence the use of focused measures that track impact beyond compliance; affirming the solution was appropriate and effective, and will inform next actions.
8 years human resources or OD experience
10 years of experience in Employee Development and Employee Assessment
Previous experience developing talent in Finance, IT and HR
Strong analytics experience advanced training evaluation models
Experience implementing skills training with various audiences
Experience implementing Mobile Learning technologies corporate training, instructional design, and digital learning.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Strong organization/time management skills and able to manage multiple priorities
Must be able to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization
Maintain a high attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for small and large audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Project and program management skills
4-year degree in business, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience
