Current Need

This Tax Senior Analyst position is within the Income Tax Compliance section of the Tax Operations group. The position will be based in Irving, TX

The candidate should have a solid background in both federal and state tax compliance. Strong analytical and accounting skills will also be important in this position.

Responsibilities will include preparing federal and state tax returns, working with business unit accounting contacts, performing tax research, and supporting process improvement and other special projects.

Position Description

  • Apply tax knowledge to ensure accurate and timely filing of federal tax returns including Form 1120, 1065, and 990-PF

  • Utilize accounting and tax software to compile information for federal tax reporting

  • Assist with state apportionment and assist with state & local income/franchise

  • Assist with the preparation of federal and state income tax estimated tax payments and extensions

  • Assist in the gathering and preparation of documentation related to the company's income tax provision

  • Assist with of fixed asset subledgers and tax depreciation

  • Assist the company in driving compliance process improvements and systems solutions

  • Assist with special projects, including addressing notices and assisting with tax audits

Minimum Requirements

5 years accounting experience

Critical Skills

  • 5 years relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry

  • Proficient working with common accounting and income tax software, CorpTax preferred.

  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance process

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong accounting, analytical, research, and time management skills required.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills required.

  • Strong desire to collaborate and work as a team

Education

  • 4-year degree in accounting or related field required.

  • MBA or MST preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

CPA preferred, but not required.
