Current Need

This Tax Senior Manager position is within the Income Tax Compliance group. The position will be based in Irving, TX, but this senior manager will work closely with colleagues and executives in the corporate headquarters in San Francisco.

The candidate should have a solid background in both corporate tax compliance and income tax accounting under ASC740. Strong analytical and accounting skills will also be important in this position.

Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing tax returns and disclosures, working with business unit accounting contacts, performing tax research, and leading process improvement and other special projects.

Position Description

Responsible for developing and implementing systems to compile information for various federal, state and local reports. Ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns. Recommends ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. May administer international tax laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements

5 years accounting experience including 2 years managerial experience

Critical Skills

• Apply tax knowledge to ensure accurate and timely filing of federal tax returns including Form 1120, 1065, 5471, and 8858.

• Utilize accounting and tax software to compile information for federal tax reporting.

• Assist the company in driving compliance process improvements and systems solutions

• Prepare tax provision and estimated tax calculations

• Work on M&A project teams

• Identify and assess tax impact of new activities and/or re

• Proficient working with common accounting and income tax software.

• Experienced in preparing consolidated returns and related disclosures.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems

Education

• 4-year degree in accounting or related field required.

• MBA or MST preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• CPA preferred.
