Position Description

Deliver training to Biologics employees via classroom and Web-based educational models. Responsible for the deployment of training and for the development, management and organization of the training function to assure that employees and managers are properly trained to perform their assigned duties. The technical trainer will be required to maintain their technical knowledge (including, but not limited to spending time in the actual workflow) in order to deliver accurate and current technical training.

Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares for anddelivers instructor-led, virtual, or webinar training on variety of topics(business processes, systems, new capabilities) to all levels of internal andexternal learners.

  • Uses adultlearning techniques, training tools and terminology appropriate to the learnerand topic.

  • Adaptspresentation style to meet the learner needs.

  • Practices goodclassroom management techniques to handle a variety of classroom situations.

  • Anticipatesaddresses and fields questions.

  • Provides bothpositive and constructive feedback to learners.

  • Mentors andcoaches employees.

  • Provides feedbackon employees’ progress to employee’s supervisors /management.

  • Develops andimplements training approaches to address employee’s performance gaps.

  • Develops exercisesand demonstrations for training.

  • Prepares datarequirements and tests exercises prior to training delivery.

  • Conductspost-release testing of system tasks used in training.

  • Conductspost-training testing to assess employee’s competency in understanding ofprogram workflows and business rules, and how to administer them within thesystem.

Minimum Requirements

Entry level experience in technical training, field sales, product support, and/or consulting experience

Critical Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area or commensurate experience.

  • 1 year of presentation experience

  • CPR experience highly preferred

  • 1 year of experience in training and development or human resources, preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral

  • Understanding of Pharmacy Operations

  • Optimistic and Positive personality

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Basic knowledge of training principles or delivery methods

Basic knowledge of product functionality

Basic knowledge of industry trends

Basic understanding of applicable job tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, LiveMeeting/WebEx, Adobe, Framemaker)

Education

BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
