This position is responsible for proactively maintaining the ISO9001 quality management system as well as oversight of the repackaging/relabeling projects and any special projects. In addition, serves as backup to the Quality Assurance Specialists at each product storage facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains the Documentation Control System (DOC9000) and assists/trains departments in developing their documentation and process improvements.
Monitors training needs to ensure that all SOP training, safety training, and compliance training is completed on a timely basis as well as maintains training records for all 3PL and pharmacy employees. Including, running the weekly training gap reports.
Oversees the CARE program to ensure that all non-conformances are documented and corrective/ preventive actions are taken when required. Including running status reports and maintaining related company measurements, as well as initiating and following up on corrective/preventive actions and non-conformances (both external and internal). Including issuing the weekly overdue CARE report to ensure timely closure of records.
Perform the calibration and alarm testing at the Louisville locations to ensure company compliance to SOPs.
Issues stickers/labels for product relabeling and performs visual inspections to ensure completeness and accuracy. Including managing sticker/label supplies by ordering as needed.
Manages all repackaging and relabeling projects in support of client requests. Including, creation of the project protocol, sourcing supplies, managing project personnel and submitting billing records for the activities.
Manages all special client project requests.
Assists with validation of storage areas, systems, or equipment where required.
Managing stock of temperature recorders (TempTales) to ensure adequate supplies for product transfers.
Serves as a back-up for the inspection and release process of incoming and returned product and support of the Quality Assurance Specialists including training.
Minimum Education Required: Two year associates degree and/or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience Required: 3-5 years in a pharmaceutical quality/regulatory environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required (except where noted as preferred): Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications. Ability to enter data accurately. Ability to handle multiple tasks well. Detail-oriented individual with thorough knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs (preferably MS Office). Must possess the ability to work with internal departments to accomplish objectives and meet established deadlines. Must be personable, self-starter, possess a good attitude, and enjoy external and internal contact on the phone and in person with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and potential clients.
Physical Requirements: Ability to correctly input data into the computer. Able to communicate effectively with customers whether in person, on the telephone, or through correspondence.
