Supervisor Specialty Pharmacy
Job Summary: Responsible for providing efficient and high quality service to customers through the daily management of a team of employees to include hiring, motivating, recognizing and rewarding, coaching, counseling, training and problem solving. Additionally, responsible for assisting manager with development, analyses and implementation of staffing, training, customer service, scheduling, and reward/recognition programs.
Provide daily direction and communication to employees in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.
Ensure employees have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs. Create and maintain high quality work environment so team members are motivated to perform at their highest level.
Establish work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives.
Management Responsibilities: (if applicable)
Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid and constructive feedback; developing employees to their full potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
Oversees the teams and workflow.
Assist with monitoring attendance; includes E-time approval, and PTO requests.
Measure and monitor BV and KPI reporting.
Ensures that all team members are informed of any operation changes and assists with the execution of training.
Conducts regular monthly meetings with the teams
Monitors new hire on-boarding and competency training and ensures completion
Conducts 90 day and annual reviews for team members
Monitors floor and keeps operation managers and leads updated on daily workflow of team.
Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned by department managers and director.
Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)
National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
Minimum one year management or supervisory experience in a similar work environment.
Three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work with Excel and analyze data
Preferred Qualifications: (if above and beyond the minimum required)
- Associates degree or higher preferred
Prior supervisory experience a plus
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Physica l Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
