Supervisor Warehouse Specialty Health

Position Description

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3p - 12a, Friday 3p - 8p

Job Summary: Manage Warehouse Associates and Team Leads to achieve company goals. Acts as company representative for Warehouse activities and participates in the development of strategic plans designed to achieve long-term company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and manage warehouse personnel.

  • Ensure balanced work flow to eliminate delays and inefficiencies.

  • Train Team leads to perform QC and operational analysis.

  • Responsible for completion of daily work volumes

  • Daily reporting of throughput, error cause identification, and root cause

  • Implement company standard operating procedures for storage, fulfillment and distribution.

  • Review SOP’s for adequacy through participation in internal audits.

  • Assure compliance of all SOP’s and Work Instructions by warehouse personnel

  • Performs as the Company representative in communications with suppliers, vendors and customers.

  • Assist in the development of long-term plans for facilities and resources.

  • Maintain operational compliance with cGMP, FDA and OSHA.

  • Develop and monitor compliance with financial budgets for warehouse department.

  • Participate in planning and implementation of changes to the physical plant.

  • Responsible for building security and temperature monitoring

  • Responsible for purchasing of supplies, equipment and vendor services.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

  • High degree of interdepartmental contact.

  • Frequent contact with external vendors, customers, suppliers, and tenants.

Minimum Requirements

  • Five years’ experience managing teams, preferably in pharmaceutical or biological warehouse, distribution, production or facilities management. Able to proficiently create and modify documents, spreadsheets & presentations utilizing Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Power Point). Must have understanding of RF scanning technology, WMS computer systems and corrective /preventative action reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience as a Supervisor in pharmaceutical or 3PL distribution

Education

Bachelor degree in Science or Arts or equivalent work experience.
