Warehouse I Overview:

This position performs the administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unloads, unpacks, and audits goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Systematically receives, labels and puts away received goods. Maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Picks, packs, audits, ships and loads goods for outbound orders. Prepares and maintains records of products shipped. Lifts heavy items and may operate manual pallet jacks and pick carts within the operation. Examines, stocks and distributes products in inventory. May perform kitting, inspections, re-packaging and labeling. Performs all job functions in an accurate, timely and safe manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Memorize Packaging specs

  • Select Correct Packaging and components

  • Manually compare product labels to paper work/electronic screens/ to verify accuracy.

  • Ship orders in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices

  • Maintain product stock in work area

  • Organize work orders and verify they are correct with the item being shipped/received

  • Manually verify product numbers/letters accurately

  • Follow work order/client instructions and requests for custom accounts (how to be packed per

  • box size and quantity per box)

  • Make cartons, obtain packaging materials including refrigerated and frozen components.

  • Lift boxes and perform repetitive motions

  • Housekeeping (general cleanup of warehouse.)

  • Ability to efficiently operate RF Scanning and computer systems, pallet jacks and other tools/equipment used in receiving and shipping operations

  • Follow ISO Certified processes, work instructions and safety rules

  • Communicate and report all issues/errors to management.

  • Must communicate and interact as a team player with other employees, management, etc….

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • One year related work experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be effective in communicating with other team members and management.

  • Able to multi task and work well under pressure to meet customer commitments and carrier pickup deadlines.

  • Able to stay on task, seek out additional work when needed and work without being micro-managed.

  • Able to read, write, count, communicate and comprehend in English.

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out step-by-step instructions.

  • Must have high attention to detail with the ability to recognize differences in letters and numbers.

  • Have a willingness to cross train and learn different job functions.

  • Flexible to work a schedule that may vary depending on volume/special projects and be a team player.

  • Must possess the willingness to work in a safe manner.Physical Demands: The characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.Stand, stoop, squat, bend, stretch, lift and walk throughout the day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Must have the ability to lift up to sixty (60) pounds for an extended period of time. Visual acuity to see and read fine print, close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds and recognize sounds of MH equipment within the operation. Must be able to work/function effectively in temperatures ranging 2-25 Celsius and retrieve packaging materials from a -25 Celsius freezer.Work Environment: Work in a climate-controlled, smoke-free, safety oriented, cGMP environment.
