Position Description

The Accounts Receivable Associate is acting on behalf of McKesson's customer to manage their receivables. Every associate is assigned his or her list of customers. Each day, the associate will utilize McKesson's Sage MAS software to locate new invoices and also collect newly received payments for processing. The associate will manage the invoicing and payment processing according to each customer's specifications. Servicing the customer will also entail following up on short payments and discrepancies as well as answer questions and collect on past due payments. Large payments are common and require a great deal of data entry. Attention to detail is critical to ensure accurate posting.

Minimum Requirements

Entry level experience

Critical Skills

  • One to two years of experience in an accounts receivable role

  • High level of computer literacy needed with proven ability to learn new software processes quickly and efficiently

  • Beginner to intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Experience within a role requiring a high level of written and verbal communication with the customer while interacting with different levels of management

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment providing support when needed while also maintaining focus on individual responsibilities

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of 3rd party billing a plus

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products preferred

  • Experience working in an administrative capacity in a service driven role


HS Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Requirements

Move departmental files to boxes once or twice a year

Place boxes (25lbs) on cart once or twice a year for storage purposes
