Position Description
Responsible for planning and implementing activitiesrelated to product or material purchase, inventory control,shipping/receiving and storage functions.
Develops, implements, andmaintains policies, procedures and inventory control systems.
Ensures products and materialsare ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintainingacceptable inventory levels.
Develops product and materialschedules and coordinates the efficient movement of inventory withpurchasing, operations, production. Assist with the production control system.
Supervises Inventory Leads anddelegate tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Create and direct scheduledcycle counts, researching discrepancies utilizing SAP reports and logs forfinal review by management
Proactively communicate stocklevel issues with customer and suppliers to ensure seamless DC transitions
Oversight of formulary changesinitiating drug location moves
Reconciling tote receiving/putaway variances, reporting overage/shortage issues to the DC and Finance
Processing Drug Recalls andQuarantines
Oversight of quarterly drugexpiration sweeps, processing returns of outdated product
Assistance with drug slottingand bin changes based on velocity
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years inventory experience
Critical Skills
Working knowledge of inventory policies, practices andsystems
Experience leading anddeveloping staff
Computer proficiency in MSOffice
Excellent and effective businesscommunication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to multi task in a fastpaced environment and make strong business decisions
Demonstrated employeeengagement skills
Must be open to flexibleday hours, Monday through Friday with typical start time of 8AM; must also beopen to adjusting shift and overtime as needed based on business requirements
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Transportation or computer room experience preferred
WMS experience preferred
Industry experience inlogistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing or distributionenvironment preferred
Experience with DEAregulations a plus
MS Access proficiency andability to interpret and analyze data
4 year degree a plus
Education
- 2-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
