Current Need

McKesson Patient Care Solutions is currently hiring an Insurance Verification Team Leader to support an onsite team in our Moon Township office.

Position Description

Coordinating team of insurance verification specialists to ensure compliance and adherence to all MPCS and payer policy and procedures as well as maintaining an adequate service level to the patients and customers. Monitoring Team Productivity, coach to success of company expectations and goals, Efficiency and working with department Manager.

Responsible for directing the billing and administrative functions for the Company's third party billing and claims processing division. Plans, organizes and operates one or more of the following functions for Reimbursement Services: Medicare Full Assignment, Contract Billing, and Managed Care Billing and Verifications, Document Collections, Cash Applications and Collections, Master file Administration and Records Management. Stays abreast of changes and potential changes in Federal Healthcare programs and ensures compliance with regulations of all Federal Healthcare programs, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the requirements of third party payers. Establishes and implements new policies/procedures/metrics to continually recognize efficiencies.

Minimum Requirements

2 years third party claims management experience in a multiple payer environment in the healthcare industry.

Critical Skills

  • 2-3 years of recent experience managing a team of 8-10 within the healthcare field

  • Experience administering performance reviews and goal development.

  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel proficiency including pivot tables, filter, advanced v-lookup.

  • Comfortable taking on escalations and customer complaints

  • Comfortable presenting in front of large groups and leaders

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to travel under 10%

  • Healthcare Insurance industry experience

  • Project Management experience

Education

2-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
