Current Need

McKesson Patient Care Solutions is currently hiring a Team Lead to support the Medicaid Reimbursement team. This position can be located in our Moon Township, PA or Richmond, VA office.

Position Description

Responsible for directing the activities of the Medicaid Reimbursement collections team. Plans, organizes and operates one or more of the following functions for Reimbursement Services, Document Collections, Master file Administration and Records Management, participating in Payer Strategy meetings, staying abreast of changes in payer plans and reimbursement impacts. Stays abreast of potential changes in Federal Healthcare programs and ensures compliance with regulations of all Federal Healthcare programs, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the requirements of third party payers.

  • Establishes and implements new policies/procedures/metrics to continually recognize efficiencies

  • Address daily questions/problems of team members and assist staff in bringing to resolutions

  • Work with team members and management to develop action plans to organize tasks or address problems

  • Ensure that all plans written by the team are implemented and reviewed at team meetings

  • Address customer complaints at the supervisory level

  • Assist Sales Representatives, Finance Department and other Managers with issues, questions and customer complaints

  • Provide disciplinary action in the event that company policies/standards are not being followed

  • Compile productivity reports and review

  • Conduct productivity review meetings with each team member monthly and address any members that are below team standard and revisit as warranted to ensure standards are being met

  • Encourage input from all team members on ideas for growth and improvement of the team

  • Perform departmental quality assurance audits in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the written auditing plans

  • Keep time sheets/monitor vacation time

  • Conduct monthly team meetings to provide updates on insurances, products and processes

  • Manage performance management process

  • Perform periodic testing on recent insurance product/process updates communicated to the team to assess knowledge/skill set or identify training opportunities

  • Communicate with AR Manager and other Team Leads on a regular basis regarding any issues or concerns that span teams

  • Monitor workflow and identify challenges that need to be resolved

Minimum Requirements

2 years third party claims management experience in a multiple payer environment in the healthcare industry.

Critical Skills

  • 2 years of experience leading a team of 10 or greater (healthcare environment preferred)

  • 2 years collections experience working with Medicaid Insurance Payors including denials, appeals and claim statuses

  • 1 years experience with performance management, quality control and escalations including creating performance metrics and evaluations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (formulas, pivots, graphs, VLOOKUPS)

Education

2-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
