Current Need

Currently in need of a talented Product Owner to support our industry leading pharmacy management systems and Clinical Program Solution. The candidate must be a thought leader capable of understanding complex systems, characterizing business needs and end-user’s requirements, and guiding the development team to deliver compelling features that meet these needs. They will be a product evangelist and expert capable of collaborating with our strategic customers and internal stakeholders. Key characteristics of our Product Owner’s:

  • Ability to thrive in an Agile and fast-paced deliveryenvironment

  • Be passionate about our customers. As a product owner, youmust show deep empathy for customers and be obsessive about identifying andcapturing their business needs as user stories

  • Value simplicity and be able to find the fastest path todeliver maximum value to our customers

  • Work with other Product Owners as part of the planning teamto prioritize a backlog based on value to customers, product vision, and thestrategic needs of MPS

  • Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams thatinclude user experience, development, quality assurance, and operations expertsto define and deliver solutions that create extremely high levels of customersatisfaction

  • Effectively manage customer expectations and balancerequests against goals

  • Demonstrate a technical aptitude to ensure effectivecommunication with all team members

  • Be the main source for user story detail and priorities andvalidate that the stories meet acceptance criteria and completeness.

  • Act as the key stakeholder in story definition assisting theteam with clarification, estimates, story sequencing and team objectives forprogram increments.

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert while working with the agile teamthroughout the product development, testing, implementation phases to ensurefeature integrity and quality.

  • Develop and maintain strong & productive relationshipswith all development and business stakeholders in order to ensure timely andeffective delivery of software features and defect resolution.

  • Monitor ongoing performance of features during AcceptanceTesting and Pilot and act as point of contact for any questions, concerns, orsuggestions.

  • Support internal teams with specific questions, training andguidance during product deployment and ongoing training.

  • Prepare and participate in project release planning.

  • Play a crucial part in the team retrospective helping driveimprovements across the team.

  • Manage communications and relationships with diversestakeholders.

  • Drive and develop the team demo.

  • Negotiate with Scrum Master on sprint plan to balancedesired delivery with team's recommendations for successful delivery.

  • Ensure project and/or product documentation is created andupdated as needed.

  • Engage shared services and other teams, as necessary.

  • <10% travel ona national basis

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 yearsexperience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment ofbusiness requirements to information systems.


  • 2 years’experience creating any of the following: user stories, acceptance criteria,use cases, workflow diagrams, functional specifications, business requirements,business cases or product designs

  • Keenability to work directly with customers, on an on-going basis, elicitingfeedback on new features, providing timely responses to questions and presentingdemonstrations of completed functionality

  • Confidence,maturity, and finesse to build organizational consensus and to lead throughinfluence

  • Excellentcommunication and presentation skills in order to represent and describeproduct offerings to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners

  • Entrepreneurialand results-oriented

  • Stronganalytical and critical-thinking skills with a proven record of data-drivendecisions

  • Self-motivatedand willing to be a change agent facilitating improvements across thedepartment and organization

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • ProductOwner Certification is a plus (SAFe PMPO, CSPO)

  • Exposureto Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Project Management is aplus

  • Experiencewithin a pharmacy environment utilizing workflow, systems and processes is aplus

  • Careerdrive with desire to expand reach into other areas of a product/servicesorganization

  • Demonstratedself-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strongability to work in a cross functional environment

  • Collaborative,customer-focused and able to create visible value


4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
