Current Need

New role to support continued growth in Financial Planning, Analysis and Allocations within the Global Business Services function. He / She will play a key role partnering with McKesson Technology Accountant and reporting to the Operations Controller. Work closely with all functions of the business both financial and non-financial across the site and with Business units in the US.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Annual budgets and quarterly forecasts –assist FP&A team to produce forecasts and budgets for input to Hyperion.Assist in preparation of budget / forecast reporting packs to improveefficiency and variance analysis, and supporting for presentations toleadership team

  • Monthly reporting – posting journals, preparationof monthly cost centre reports including variance analysis, reconciliations, allocationswith invoices to Business Units and assist team on commentary highlightingareas of concern and uncover potential inconsistencies

  • Work with Operations Controller to improvethe quality, level and amount of cost information so that drivers and keybusiness trends can be understood

  • Assist in creating financial models,standard costs and dashboards

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterlyboard packs

  • Ad-hoc support on projects / business caseanalysis, manipulate and analyse data, identifying trends to support the growthof the business as required to the Operations Controller

  • Liaise with Cost Centre Owners on updatingthe Forecasts and analyzing variance from Budget

  • Report to Customer’s Lead Accountant onmonthly allocations and any variance from Budget.

  • Cost control – investigating cost-savingsproposals

  • Work with the Business Solution Lead toautomate the FP&A processes

  • Work to McKesson Ireland Quality Standards

  • Adhere to H&S and 6Sregulations/guidelines

  • Engage in Continuing Professional Development(CPD) activities

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training:

Part Qualified Accountant

Experience:

2 years in a large corporation with experience in month preparation, planning and costing.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Communication skills with an ability toexplain financial information to non-financial colleagues

  • Proven analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively with others toaccomplish goals

  • Awareness of diversity and corporateculture

  • Disciplined in planning and execution tomeet assigned deadlines

  • Commercial awareness and understanding ofbusiness concepts, particularly operational issues

  • Ability to manage several priorities atonce will be required as will a high level of flexibility with a highcommitment to success

  • Operational – must be hands-on anddetail-oriented and able to get work accomplished

PC/Equipment:

Advanced Excel (modeling, pivot tables and lookups) and PowerPoint experience a must.
