Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representative acts as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying a professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer service; to build and maintain an active customer base to support the sales team and develop new sales to support the designated business unit. By applying sales skills the Inside Sales Representative will capitalize on internal sales opportunities to achieve the sales targets set by the Management Team.


  • Responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with customers and other McKesson business units

  • Maximizes sales by continually expanding orders and up-selling on all incoming and outgoing calls

  • Works closely with other members of the sales team to execute sales strategy

  • Manages daily schedule, meetings, agenda, both internal and in conjunction with field sales team

  • Manages quote creation, order processing and day-to-day customer requests

  • Effectively deals with telephone enquiries requesting quotations for products

  • Ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary

  • Liaise between internal departments and customers to efficiently answer general enquiries or concerns

  • Participate in industry tradeshows as required to generate awareness and sales opportunities

  • Ensure that the external sales team is kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts

  • Provide the Management with sales/opportunities reports on a weekly/monthly basis

  • Develops strong knowledge of products and systems through on-going training

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Post-secondary education at the college or university level

  • Proven track record in a previous sales role

  • Experience in selling computer technology

  • High level of comfort with computer technology

  • Strong interpersonal skills that are both persuasive and conducive to strong long-term relationships

  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimum supervision

  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office applications and CRM programs

  • Valid Driver's License
