Job Summary

The Leader of Associate Outcomes is responsible for designing, developing and implementing the NextPx patient centric culture. The Leader creates an employee environment, which allows NextPx to obtain the highest patient and associate net promoter scores in the retail pharmacy sector. The Leader also ensures that an associate experience is a seamless journey that delivers superior employee satisfaction. The Leader of Associate Outcomes will work in close collaboration with McKesson Canada Human Resources on levers that span across all ingredients that contribute to a strong culture and associate engagement: recruitment, retention, training, development, recognition, rewards, etc. Moreover, the Leader of Associate Outcomes will work closely with the Leader of Business Outcomes in order to ensure that NextPx ownership model contribute to associate engagement and satisfaction.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of the vision, mission and values of the business that will emerge out of NextPx learning tests

  • Designs the journey for the various types of associates involved in the NextPx patient experience

  • Identifies the strategies, tactics and tools needed to support the development of the associate experience

  • Works with colleagues in McKesson shared services such as HR, Legal, Finance, IT, etc on the adaptation of existing tools or the development of new tools to support the NextPx associate experienc

  • Develops an associate recruitment strategy with the help of colleagues in Business Development, Talent Acquisition and Marketing

  • Builds with the help of relevant McKesson colleagues, notably Human Resources, a strategy and program to enthusiastically retain associates

  • Proposes compensation and rewards mechanism necessary to fulfill the NextPx mission

  • Assists with the talent assessment, workforce and succession planning, risk assessment and development plans

  • Works with the business and Human Resources to develop effective organizational structures and on specific job design and leveling to drive NextPx organizational health and market competitiveness

  • Partners effectively with Human Resources specialist groups including Learning & Development, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, HR Shared Services, and Compensation

  • Provides strategic vision to a fully integrated training and development program for associate

  • Continuously benchmarks L&D best practices and emerging trends to make recommendations on course design, development, tools and technologies

  • Designs and delivers effective and efficient learning solutions to support the business and culture

  • Helps leadership to interpret and act on learning outcomes

  • Advises, mentors/coaches and guides associates/leadership to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skills

  • Partners with the business to build engaged, high-performing teams

  • Supports the development workforce plans that ensure NextPx success for the long term

  • Accountable for planning and managing resources needed to support associate outcomes

Section B – Key Requirements

  • 10 experience as an HR Business Partner/Manager with a focus on team culture

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the retail space

  • The ability to influence and partner with all levels of management, a natural relationship builder

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business strategy with the ability to analyze business goals and implement change as a result

  • Experience working on range of different activities at one time with the ability to prioritize

  • Post-secondary education in business or human resources

  • Experience in coaching and leading teams through change management

  • Understanding of learning and development models and strategies

  • Ability to (both verbally and written) convey information clearly, concisely and logically

  • High proficiency in using multiple and innovative team building delivery methods

  • Strong strategic and creative capabilities

  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws

Section C – Supervision and Communications

  • Internal Communication – cross-functional/departmental interactions.

  • External Communication – external members, vendors.
