Reporting to the National Manager, Home Health Care, the candidate will be responsible for developing and growing the marketing and operations of McKesson Canada’s Home Health Care business.
Manage HHC marketing/operations strategies to increase proftablity and product integrity:
o Develop new business and execute new store training programs
o Responsible for travelling to member locations to support local HHC offerings
o Implement suggested store standards
o Liase and network with funding agencies and not –for –profit organizations
o Introduce new supplier programs and services to existing members
o Coordinate with HHC operations personnel in order to create and oversee the implementation of the HHC marketing and merchandising programs.
o Oversee and implent new HHC operational standards by HHC Level (Base, 1, 2, and 3).
o Work with McKesson retail operations to ensure that communications and selling tools are clear and easy to use for Regional Operations Managers.
o Work within the established HHC budget.
o Interact with all McKesson departments regionally and nationally.
Support in the development of strategies to increase HHC sales and profits:
o Research HHC market trends.
o Source and evaluate new products.
o Set and achieve HHC operations targets
o Set and oversee HHC operations targets for frequency and quality of store visits.
o Provide logistic recommendations for product delivery.
o Attend business reviews with suppliers.
o Ensure RBM HHC is informed of changes in the marketplace.
o Attend HHC conferences, shows, meetings, seminars and join industry associations.
o Provide support to the HHC Advisory Committee and various subcommittees as required.
o Perform other duties as assigned to support Retail Banner Management
Knowledge, skills and experience:
• University degree in Business or in a relevant discipline.
• 2 years in a Home Health Care Store Manager role with familiarity with HHC Retail Operations.
• 2-3 years in a Home Health Care Regional Manger role.
• 3 years Merchandising Manager experience with familiarity in supplier negotiations and category management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AS400 and experience in Contact Management Databases is an asset.
• Demonstrated people management and strategic planning skills.
• Superb communication skills both written and verbal; ability to build credibility, rapport and relationships.
• Able to work in a complex fast paced rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Sound knowledge of all government related regulations.
Context and Environment:
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of retail marketing and operational Home Health Care banner programs. Through supporting Operations team members and operational initiatives the main focus is on providing incremental profit at RBM and individual store level and collectively aligning all HHC rationale to RBM operational strategy. Challenge is to penetrate and enhance the revenue of both our stores and RBM across Canada while maintaining product integrity.
