The Account manager supports the building of an account strategy, developing long-term relationships with assigned customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Accounts managers will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and in alignment with the account and McKesson. The AM is responsible for achieving sales and business /account objectives. With a strong understanding of McKesson capabilities and customer needs, will work with key stakeholders to achieve account objectives as outlined in the joint business plan for the customer.
Develop a formal account plan and ensure alignment on priorities between customer and
McKesson through joint business planning
Ensure full knowledge of account requirement and needs and understands customers strategy and long term range plan
Establish scorecard and metrics in line with business plan requirements and customer KPI’s
Establish strong relationships at all levels with the customer and manage customer needs and expectations
Use data and analytics to establish credibility, provide valuable insights and informed initiatives
Establish cadence of meetings and communication with appropriate leaders and McKesson departments/ executive to review progress, resolve issues, and prioritize activities.
Ensure adequate processes in place to resolve store level issues
Understand and promote McKesson’s full line of products and services
Establish strong partnership with operations to understand needs and account executional activities
Manage resources , deliver and optimize on all key elements of services:
Analyze and report information about supplier performance or procurement programs (Service Level)
Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, operations & sales to identify issues and provide uniform status updates (capacity issues, operational Issues/updates, receiving/PO Status reporting, etc.)
Confer with supply chain planners to align forecast, supply planning and supply issues/supplier performance and provide consistent and accurate status updates (MCK, MCS, Lost Sales, etc.)
Manage processes, tracking and reporting of tactical purchasing, inventory control & warehousing (Aged, short-dated, expired, etc.)
Document and monitor/assess physical supply chain processes, workflows & cycle times (item set-up, listing/de-listing, etc.)
Work with finance and applicable functional areas to collect and report standard Sales data (numbers) on a regular basis.
Consistent and timely messaging/reporting/ analytics to Sales teams (for Customer communication)
• Minimum of five to seven years of experience in account management
• Minimum of three years of experience in managing projects
• Undergraduate Business Diploma
• Strong ability to influence
• Results oriented
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate, influence and coach others.
• Excellent oral presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients with good listening and questioning skills
• Ability to approach issues from a number of perspectives, summarizing data to draw a conclusion, excellent analytical
• Strong leadership skills, can lead, inspire, mentor, develop and guide a team of professionals
