Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Private Payor Programs will develop Case Management programs for specialty drugs and lead the team of case managers. The candidate will develop integrated programs and work with Payors for case management services for Specialty drugs. Creation of tools and analyses to support an on-going strategy that will make McKesson a leader in Payor case management. In addition, this position supports business development and strategic solutions of the Company for new and/or existing business. This role involves the management of various assignments at different stages throughout the management of the program.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities generally include but are not limited to the following :

  • Develop customer management objectives and represent customer needs internally in collaboration with Operations, Business Development, and Management.

  • Lead and oversee McKesson Canada’s Private Payer offerings.Develop, negotiate, and working with operations, implement and support McKesson Canada’s PPN’s and total offerings model.

  • Liaise with key client contacts to ensure that specifications and business requirements for the project are clearly established; share information with internal project teams and across CAN business units; and continue the liaison activities during the project to ensure that the client is satisfied with the course the project is taking.

  • Ensure high level of customer responsiveness with proactivity in addressing and solving issues.

  • Participate in strategic customer meetings and ensure understanding of customer’s short and long term strategy.

  • Ensure that business requirements, schedules and budgets are established and agreed to prior to commencing the project.

  • Ensure that projects/ programs are monitored for achievement of the key performance indicators as well as continuous improvement through monitoring of the KPIs/SLAs and AR.

  • Provide direction to team members regarding the nature of his/her assignment and provide on-going monitoring of activities and progress.

  • Responsible for meeting internal P&L targets including adjacent revenue in pharmacy and distribution business. Develop customer management solutions in response to deficiencies in client service and/or operating processes.

  • Explain the on-going status of programs and services through the preparation of monthly financial management reports (i.e., monthly revenue recognition, customer billing, etc.)

  • Lead/assist in the management of customer contracts/SOWs.

  • Participate in quarterly customer and other business review meetings in a lead/supporting role.

Section B – General R esponsibilities

Planning and strategy

  1. Lead the evaluation of new business segments and development of supporting business strategy.

  2. Develop and recommends short-term and long-term objectives for the businesses that support the achievement of the company’s goals. Reviews these objectives on an ongoing basis to ensure that they continue to be relevant and appropriate.

  3. Direct the establishment of the policies, plans, tactics, practices and procedures necessary to achieve the approved objectives.

  4. Financial planning and management:

  • Develop budgets that accurately reflect the ongoing cost of doing business as well as the additional costs of implementing any projects or changes. Monitor, adjust and take corrective action as necessary to ensure that budget targets are met

  • Approve requisitions, expenses and other financial transactions within his/her authority; protect income and assets of the company against loss and waste.

Leadership

  1. Act as the company’s primary resource in his/her area of expertise, providing leadership and direction on all related issues.

  2. Promote the Five Shared Principles of McKesson Canada and McKesson, demonstrating commitment by his/her own actions and by encouraging others to do the same.

  3. Maintain appropriate communications with all levels of the organization.

Section C – Requirements

Experience and qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program/projectmanagement

  • Minimumof 7-10 yearsworkingon private payor case management programs

  • Provenleadershipandinterpersonalskills;abilitytomotivate,influenceandcoachothers.

  • Business Development experience with an emphasis on strategic and conceptual sales through demonstrated track record of successfully closing diverse and complex deals

  • Excellent oral presentation and interpersonalskills

  • Impeccable written and spoken Englishskills

  • Bilingual skills anasset

  • Abilitytocommunicateclearlywithclientswithgoodlisteningandquestioningskills

  • Abilitytoapproachissuesfromanumberofperspectives,summarizingdatatodrawaconclusion,excellentanalytical skills

  • Experience in data management/reporting tools is an asset

  • Flexibility to travel across North America (approx. 40% travel)
