Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, member experience and central operations, and working very closely with the leaders of the Quebec banners (Uniprix and Proxim) this position is responsible for establishing, executing and to deliver the best members experience, with tools and events based on the Uniprix and Proxim banner overall communication strategies to enhance the members experience and engagement.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to create an environment and passion for exceeding expectations through understanding the needs of our members to assist in member uptake and engagement.

  • Implementation of KPI and Scorecard to tangibly measure department success. Continually refine and re-evaluate current programs and operational deliverables.

  • Collaboration and consistent communication with Operations team to support them in their day to day servicing of Uniprix and Proxim members.

  • Works collaboratively across all departments to ensure communication and programs are supported cross functionally. Provides sound operational advice to ensure program adherence and implementation.

  • Presents new programs to the Operations Team on an ongoing basis and ensure documented standard operating processes (SOP) are understood.

  • Review business metrics and analytics on programs and promotions and take appropriate actions to improve results.

  • Provides direction and input to fine tune programs and services so they are as turnkey as possible for members

  • Align strategic objectives and consumers’ needs through strong relationships with internal and external business partners that build an in-depth knowledge of the marketplace trends.

  • Liaise with Operations team regarding member issues and/or concerns.

  • Leads and develops a high-performing, engaged team that is aligned with departmental metrics and provides regular coaching, mentoring and feedback to all staff.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Seasoned communications professional with excellent knowledge of the Quebec pharmacy business model.

  • University degree with a focus in Business or other relevant discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in communications and retail business.

  • 7 years’ experience managing analytical merchandising/marketing function with financial responsibility.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (French / English).

  • Demonstrated store operational experience is an asset.

  • Solid business acumen.

  • Solid knowledge of the retail industry and best practices

  • Very good Microsoft option skills – Excel, Word and Power Point.

  • Financial analysis skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload accordingly.

Context and Environment:

Must be able to perform in a highly fast paced customer focused environment that requires the individual to grasp and understand customer demand. Is a key contributor in the development of the communications strategies and customer events programs. Attention to detail and the ability to work on a number of various assignments at the same time are essential.
