Job Summary

The Specialist, Member Engagement, Uniprix and Proxim, is passionate about the strategic impact of messaging to improve the efficiency and engagement of our banner members and RBS internal customers. Reporting to the Manager, Member Experience, the candidate will contribute to the development of RBS operational internal communications to increase member engagement and support various department initiatives and programs with implementation and execution in the Uniprix and Proxim network.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to assist in developing tools required to deploy programs and services

  • Collaborate with the RBG shared service departments to ensure initiatives are aligned across the various departments

  • Posting of all department content to member portal

  • Maintenance and upkeep of member portal on a consistent basis to ensure content is relevant and up to date

  • Develop and manage all banner member communications for Uniprix and Proxim to increase member/owner engagement

  • Assist in the preparation of content for member engagement events and conferences to maximize engagement and experience

  • Lead content and execution of weekly banner member newsletters, initiatives and memos for the Uniprix/Proxim member portal.


  • Support Uniprix and Proxim leaders in their communication needs.

  • Write, review and edit a variety of compelling communication material.

  • Build communication plans as required, obtain approval and execute these plans.

  • Develop and manage all member communications for Uniprix and Proxim to increase member/owner engagement.

  • Assist in the preparation of content for member engagement events and conferences.

  • Lead content and execution of weekly Member communications in the WEB member portal.

  • Manage Uniprix and Proxim internal communications to ensure quality, consistency and content meets standards.

  • Develop content and visuals for internal events for Uniprix and Proxim employees to drive employee engagement.

  • Complete projects as defined within approved scope, on time and within budget.

  • Translate overall strategies into operational objectives, tactics and actions plans.

  • Participate with Steering Committees to ensure value and output is maximized where required.

  • Comply with all company policies and programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Section B – Key Requirements

Experience Required

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field.

  • 5 years of experience in communications with similar job scope – ideally in the retail and health care industry, or any other related sector

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of external and internal communications

  • Performance management skills

  • Strong writing skills, including technical writing, copywriting and editing

  • Results-oriented, with a strong customer-service ethic

  • Strategic thinker

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual (French & English is essential)

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced, high volume, collaborative and iterative environment

  • Ability to manage priorities while focusing on delivering key projects

  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships both internally and externally

  • Professionalism, confidentiality and good judgment for work on projects touching all levels of the organization

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office applications and communication tools

  • Attention to detail, coupled with a keen sense of the big picture
