The McKesson Human Resources team is looking for a HR Business Partner to provide a broad range of strategic HR services to McKesson’s Distribution Centers in the Northeast Region of the US.
The HRBP will work closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development at the business unit or division level. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change). Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.
The individual must operate as a strong team player, leveraging relationship skills and business expertise. The HRBP will develop strong working relationships, take a consultative approach and act as a key advisor to members of leadership.
* This position will support the following locations: Northeast Region from VA to Buffalo NY.*
The HRBP consults with leaders to provide customized and practical HR solutions to challenges across a range of HR functions including talent management (workforce planning, development, retention, assessment, career architecting and succession), organization design and effectiveness, engagement and culture, diversity and compensation.
Coaches managers to enhance leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications and performance management.
Provides/delivers innovative and integrated HR practices around critical business issues
Drives talent review processes and succession planning as key strategic lever for meeting the business’ strategic agenda
Ensures the organization is able to take advantage of its organizational design and its talent to accelerate its strategic agenda
Aligns the right structure, cultural context, and practices to drive employee performance
Researches best practices and provides strategic recommendations based on data analysis and incorporation of metrics to measure outcomes.
Optimizes human capital through uses of workforce planning and analytics
Develops organization capacity for change and translate that into change processes and structures
Effectively initiates and sustains critical business change into the organization
Partners with appropriate centers of excellence to provide a full range of HR services in the areas of staffing, employee relations, compensation, and leadership and employee development.
Ensures the consistent application of HR policies, processes and systems within the groups they support.
8 years HR experience.
8 years’ experience in large corporate environments, supporting multiple business units (supply chain distribution and/or call center experience a plus)
Strong ability to tailor his/her communication style to work well with stakeholders at all levels in the organization; effective at influencing, consulting, facilitating, and problem solving
1 year(s) of people management experience
Ability to travel up to 40%

Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources
Ability to work in warehouse setting
Distribution or Manufacturing or similar setting experience preferred
Experience working in a field HR position with multi-state based clients preferred
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
