Sr.Manager, Corporate Strategy & Business Development – McKessonMedical-Surgical

McKesson’s Corporate Strategy and Business Development team is seeking to add a Senior Manager to its existing Medical-Surgical team that is responsible for strategy development and identifying and evaluating new business opportunities. In this challenging and highly visible role, this individual will support BU- and corporate-level strategic decision making by conducting projects related to market analysis, emerging industry trends, portfolio analysis, and identification of strategic needs as it relates to the pursuit of new business endeavors. This role will provide leadership in the design, development and implementation of strategic initiatives that advance McKesson’s objective to achieve better business health for our customers and better care for all.

PositionDescription

  • Receives assignments in the formof objectives to create goals and develops plans accordingly

  • Maintains responsibility fordeliverables, timelines, and management of stakeholder relationships andexpectations

  • Works within establishedframework to facilitate business problem solving and present hypotheses andrecommendations to senior management

  • Manages relationships relevant toproject and requires the ability to gain cooperation of others

  • Leverages presentations todevelop the storyline and big picture view of initiative

  • Performs detailed analyses, synthesizesresults and delivers insights

  • Maintain thorough knowledge ofcompany's products and industry related to project

MinimumRequirements

  • 5 years of prior strategy or healthcare consultingand / or relevant industry experience

CriticalSkills

  • Strategic Thinking : evaluating industry trends and developinglong-term implications to inform pragmatic strategies for new businessopportunities

  • Analytical Rigor : ability to bring structure toill-defined problems and synthesize insights from analysis that underpin credible, actionable recommendations

  • Financial Acumen : understanding and competency in financialmodeling; experience with financial planning, budgeting and capitalallocation a plus

  • Communicationsskills : ability todevelop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas andproposals persuasively

  • Healthcare Knowledge : knowledge of stakeholders, trends, economic drivers and policy acrosshealthcare

Education

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in business orfinance, or related field or equivalent experience

  • MBA preferred

Physical Requirements

General office demands. Occasional travel, around 20%.
