Current Need

Receives objectives from VP and establishes goals, policies and processes for McKesson’s North American Portfolio Administration Group. Supervises an outsourced CBRE team, consisting of two supervisors and 10 indirect reports, responsible for accurately maintaining an abstraction data base for approximately 800 properties and for direct payment of rents totaling approximately $250M annually. This data base will, within a year, be used as the source of data for McKesson Accounting to use in external financial reporting, under new FASB lease accounting standards. Manager will diplomatically field business unit and landlord/tenant inquiries and complaints. They will also maintain processes to validate that delegation of authority and legal review requirements are met for all real estate related documents, prior to timely circulation to the appropriate approver. They will routinely interface with senior management and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Set policies and manage a CBRE team of 12 that maintains McKesson’s North American real estate data base. Work with real estate transaction management and legal departments.

  • Oversee circulation of legal documents for appropriate management approval.

  • Manage, validate and approve monthly rent payment process for approximately 650 leases, with annual dollar volume of approximately $250M.

  • Diplomatically field business unit and landlord/tenant inquiries and complaints.

  • Work with the McKesson accounting team to deliver appropriate, accurate data to support external financial reporting under new lease accounting standards.

  • Manage the lease audit function, to maximize expense recoveries for McKesson.

Minimum Requirements

7 years in real estate lease administration or similar experience

Critical Skills

  • 7 years in Real Estate Lease Administration

  • 7 years of experience managing large lease databases

  • Strong experience leading an outsourced service team (contract employees)

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse group of individuals including various levels of management internally and externally

  • Strong problem-solving ability

  • Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail

Other Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Notary Public

  • Lease accounting principles

Education

Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field, MBA preferred.
