Current Need

The Manager of External Reporting & Policy will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings documents (10K and 10Q) and assisting with preparation of earnings release press tables. The person in this position will report to senior manager of external reporting.

Position Description

  • Manage the coordination and preparation of quarterly and year-end SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), including XBRL tagging and SOX controls

  • Responsible for the compilation of financial statements, footnotes, management’s discussion and analysis and all other components of the filings

  • Monitor developments of new accounting pronouncements and other applicable SEC rules and implement necessary changes, working with Technical Accounting and Internal Reporting teams

  • Perform disclosure related technical accounting research and benchmarking studies

  • Monitor and enhance processes to ensure appropriate evidence is maintained to support all disclosures included in the SEC filings

  • Interface with external auditors on the SEC filings and related matters

  • Work with Investor Relations with the review of earnings release materials, ensuring they are consistent with SEC filings

  • Responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to the reporting process/efforts, to streamline processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Responsible for SOX 404 efforts, including documentation of processes and facilitating testing of controls, as necessary

  • Participate in the Company’s key transactions or initiatives as needed

Minimum Requirements

5 years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or public multinational companies. 2 years managerial experience

Critical Skills

  • CPA

  • Minimum 4 years of Big 4 public accounting experience required

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work with senior management and influence decision making

  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change

  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong GAAP technical accounting knowledge

  • Process re-engineering experience preferred

  • Hyperion or related systems experience preferred

  • Team leadership and development skills preferred

  • XBRL experience

Education

4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure

  • CPA
