Position Description

The Pricing & Contracting Analytics Specialist will support McKesson Specialty Health’s Group Purchasing Organization (“GPOs”) in the pharmaceutical contract negotiation and execution for Oncology and Multi-Specialty Clinic members.

Through a combination of fundamental data analysis, data visualizations, and reporting, the analyst will provide insights on topics such as:

  • Member clinicGPO contract performance and trends

  • Pharma manufacturersegmentation and contracting strategy

  • GPO value-addand Key Performance Indicator metric evaluation

  • Physician reimbursementand clinical trends

Key Responsibilities 100%

  1. Perform and support data-driven analyses that define, measure, and investigate current operational trends, financial trends, and strategic insights related to McKesson’s GPOs
  • Maintain,update, and distribute customer-facing and internal dashboards that track GPOand membership Key Performance Indicators

  • Performanalyses that highlight and value membership performance opportunities;communicate findings to key stakeholders including senior management

  • Partnerwith GPO Business Development Directors to prepare and participate inpresentations for pharma manufacturer meetings

  • Analyzenew or amended contracting opportunities; identify new contractingopportunities

  • SupportGPO operational functions (i.e. internal/external reporting, monitor key performanceindicators, etc) (60%)

  1. Perform ad-hoc, data driven analyses (20%)

  2. Coordinate system development with IT to enhance automation and visibility (20%)

Minimum Requirements

2 years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

Critical Skills

• Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent tasks

• Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations

• Must have high attention to detail and be able to deliver high quality and accurate outputs

• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written

• Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment

• Results driven, with a desire to work in a fast paced environment

• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills. Comfortable dealing with large amount of data and knowledge of databases preferred

• Pharma/Oncology knowledge and experience preferred but not required

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Working knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems

Education

4-year degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience
