Current Need

In this role, you will be the Regional Finance representative supporting a number of radiation oncology center joint ventures within the US Oncology Network. You will advise senior and operational management, center physicians and JV partners on the financial performance, challenges and operations for the centers within the region.

This role has a significant operational finance component with responsibility for providing strategic analysis and effective reporting in partnership with senior leadership to implement targeted growth strategies in support of achievement of annual and long-range plans. This position is responsible for the regions FP&A and Financial Reporting functions including preparation of the annual plan, month

Position Description

Primary areas of responsibility include:

  1. Partner with Regional Operations and Center Managers as primary point of contact for Finance and Accounting related matters, including financial reporting, accounts payable, JV Partner communications and other ad hoc issues that arise in the normal course of business.

  2. Regional Financial Planning and Analysis

a. Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accuracy of center or JV level financial statements

b. Understand drivers of monthly variances and identify opportunities to improvement center financial performance

c. Work closely with Center Managers and Regional leadership to manage forecasting and budgeting processes

  1. Financial Reporting – work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure financial reports are delivered timely and accurately to JV Partners and Regional Operations.

  2. Conduct timely, thorough analysis of center financial results, including focus on revenue and operational stat reporting, expense analysis/controls, and other significant business drivers.

  3. Support capital expenditure process, including evaluation of new capital projects and coordination with operations and other business partners to facilitate preparation of annual capital budget and periodic in term forecasts.

  4. Support specific business development activities including partnering with regional business development leaders on initiative relating to existing centers, development of new de novo centers or new joint ventures.

Minimum Requirements

5 years finance or accounting experience including 2 years managerial experience

Critical Skills

• Must have experience including financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning and the ability to review, present and communicate financial results effectively.

• Must have strong business acumen to perform financial, trend and variance analysis, identify cost drivers, and understand services and business strategy.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Prior experience with month-end close processes preferred

• Experience with large financial systems, including PeopleSoft, Essbase and TM1

• Healthcare experience a plus

Education

MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
