Current Need

Position Description

Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, configures & modifies software projects and/or products or enhancements using various programming language, technologies & development methodologies -Designs, develops, tests, debugs & implements application, software and/or operating system components, software tools, & utilities; conducts performance testing -Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented & monitored to increase efficiency -Creates systems software engineering policies, standards & procedures -Completes technical documentation for multiple functions, including but not limited to testing, QA, training, and/or procedures for installation & maintenance -May interface with internal & external clients to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications -Frequently required to work in a team setting (virtual & in-person) in order to achieve work goals/objectives -May participate in code refactoring efforts -Complies with corporate open source policies

MinimumRequirements:

  • 4 years’ experience in softwareengineering / Healthcare IT.

CriticalSkills:

  • 4 years’experience in software engineering, programming and/or integration within aHealthcare IT environment.

  • 4 or more years working with other interfaceengines as well as data integration/data flow with applications.

  • Knowledge of clinical applications andsystems (Practice Management Systems, Lab Information Systems, RadiationSystems,Electronic Heath RecordApplications)

  • Experienced in programming in variouslanguages and databases for client/server and web-based applications andsystems (i.e.: Java, C#, SQL, Oracle or similar).

  • Experienced in creating high quality, welldocumented interfaces.

  • Apply and assist with developing programmingstandards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and datamanipulation

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience working in a healthcareenvironment preferred.

  • Understanding of HL7standards.

  • Knowledge of ITIL is anasset

  • Cloverleaf interface engine experience aplus.

  • Excellent oral and written communicationsskills.

  • Ability to work well in a team and interacteffectively, including the ability to mentor and provide leadership to otherengineers.

  • Ability to function productively on multipleproject teams simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently without anysupervision

  • Experienced working in a high pacedenvironment andability to workeffectively under pressure/stressful conditions to meet tight deadlines

Education:

  • 4-year degree in computer science or relatedfield or equivalent experience

  • ITIL certifications a plus
