Senior Proposal - Medical Writer- Life Sciences
Remote based opportunity or The Woodlands, TX
Scientific Proposal Writing: Support the Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) proposal writing process by collaborating with business development and outcomes research teams to write custom content e.g. proposal concepts, formal proposals, leveraging standard framework when possible.
Works independently to write and edit content for customized scientific observational research proposals.
Ensure the accuracy, adequacy, and consistency of documents.
Write, review, and edit documents to ensure clarity and consistency, create template as needed.
Demonstrates critical thinking in the presentation of scientific concepts/objectives
Develop knowledge of data assets and physician network leveraged to conduct observational research studies, in order to develop proposals for customized research studies.
Project management; identifies, qualifies and prioritizes multiple proposals in process based on criteria
Works with business development to secure pricing.
Coordinates with internal resources, e.g. compliance, finance as necessary
Optimizes time spent across multiple key customer proposal requests in process
Medical Writing: Support the Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) scientific writing process by collaborating with outcomes research teams to write custom content e.g. protocols, study reports, manuscripts, leveraging standard framework when possible.
3 years specific healthcare and/or systems-related experience and demonstrated leadership skills
Essential skills include the ability to develop clear, concise documents on tight timelines; demonstrated skill in summarizing scientific literature and data, an understanding of the principles of clinical and nonclinical research, the relevant regulations and guidelines for research and careful attention to detail.
Writing skills to articulate key scientific and technical concepts
Ability to leverage in-depth knowledge of data assets and analytics to inform and develop study concepts, in partnership with business development team
General understanding of research services in real world evidence/health economics and outcomes research environment is desired.
Minimum 5 years healthcare/life sciences research and analytics/evaluation
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Solid knowledge of healthcare and the specific systems area related to the management position.
Oncology knowledge and experience desired
Understanding and experience with healthcare Informatics; such as electronic medical record data, health care claims data, etc. desired
Ability to understanding customer needs and translate them into scientific / study solutions
Excellent communication skills.
Proven track record to meet and/or exceed customer expectations
Team player with strong interpersonal and resource management skills.
Ability to manage project plans and ease of use with applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word.
