The Sales Trainee will learn McKesson programs and value-added services during the training period of 12 to 18 months. Position may be located in Wilsonville Oregon OR Seattle Washington.
Responsible for set up ofstartup accounts (includes administrative paperwork, training customer on McKessonConnect, other administrative tasks needed to bring accounts onboard).
Contacts prospects and explainsfeatures and merits of programs or services offered, utilizing persuasivesales techniques.
Duties involve directone-to-one communication with customer or client.
Performs field promotion workand bringing new accounts on board.
Demonstrates value addedprograms and aids in the best application of programs or servicesindividual to customer needs.
Timely customer follow-up and answersall questions concerning implemented programs or services.
Liaison between the customer,U.S. Pharmaceutical, and other McKesson departments/business units
Manage expenses withinbudget.
May analyze records of presentand past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue,administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
Interprets accounts, trends,and records to management. Sells to new and presentclients.
Continuous education ofMcKesson, Industry trends and GPO partners.
Documenting value of programsand value-added services.
SFDC/CRM documentation ofcustomer interactions
- Ability to learn McKesson's products,services and sales methodologies.
MS Office proficiency
Strong time management skills
Strong analytical skills;ability to interpret and analyze data
Exceptional written and verbalcommunications skills
Must be open to up to 80%travel, primarily extensive day travel by car with some overnight travel(less than 20%)
Must have current, validdriver’s license and clear driving record
Bachelor’s degree required
Additional Knowledge & Skills
1-2 years’ sales experiencepreferred but not required; healthcare experience a plus
Experience in the retail/distributionindustry helpful
May be required to relocate atthe end of program in the Northwest Region
- 4-year degree required, preferably with an emphasis in sales &marketing or business management.
Current valid driver’slicense required
Position is distributioncenter based with extensive local travel by car
Some occasional lightlifting (up to 25 lbs.) required
